the subdudes Inspire the Little Dudes at The Iron Horse Last Wednesday

When the subdudes unplugged their raukus Cajun pop on Wednesday night and walked into the audience to play two acoustic songs, I may have been the only person in the room not taking pictures with my cell phone. Well, it WAS picturesque. Seven o'clock Iron Horse shows are different than your usual music in a bar scene: families are often in attendance, there is a minimum of sketchiness. While the subdudes wailed away right in our midst on accordion, tambourine, and guitars, two kids aged maybe seven and nine stood in front of me, eyes wide, faces aglow. I watched a hunger take root in their eyes. They're gonna be back to play the stage someday. -Monika
