Grammy nominated Jon Butcher is one of a select handful of influential recording artists comprising the now legendary Boston music scene. MTV videos for hit songs, "Life Takes A Life" ," Wishes", "Holy War" and "Goodbye Saving Grace" comprise the beginnings of a recording/ touring and television career that continues to this day. With a discography of 18 national and international releases, Five World Tours, international critical acclaim, awards and a plethora of film, television and producer credits it's hard to argue the point.
Charlie Farren has long been known for great songs, great singing, and for outstanding live solo acoustic performances. Alone onstage with acoustic guitar in hand, Charlie captures an audience with his unique delivery, insightful lyrics, memorable songs, soaring vocal, and subtle yet innovative guitar style. Charlie emerged onto the national scene in the early '80s after teaming up with Aerosmith lead guitarist Joe Perry as lead singer and guitarist with THE JOE PERRY PROJECT. In 1986 Charlie, along with Dave Hull (Joe Perry Project) and John Muzzy, formed FARRENHEIT.
Both are master musicians, riveting performers, soulful and expressive singers. Both are hit songwriters, together having sold millions of copies of their songs around the world. Both have written for television, motion pictures, and have toured and performed in many of the most prestigious venues in the world. Both have grown and developed through years of creating the soundtrack for so many lives. Come see them this Saturday, June 5th at the Iron Horse.
